Logos can be the most identifiable part of your company or brand. Whether you are an online boutique or a brick and mortar mechanic shop, logos are a way to separate yourselves from others and can possibly give you the competitive edge. Logos are a marketing must and a lot of thought go into the logistics of one logo. Whether it is a simple design or one with lots of color and curves and lines, Adobe Illustrator is a great way to start designing your logo. The platform allows for multiple layers and with the updated version even allow for the freeform tool which is a must for any Adobe expert. The logo I designed for an online boutique was inspired by my family with name written in font that resembled my grandmother’s hand-writing. The leaves on the branch represented the number of grandchildren she had. Of course, not all logos have a symbolic value but a lot do, and some you may not even consciously notice the message inside the logo. I was excited to design this logo because it gave me a chance to play around with Illustrator, specifically the freeform tool. I am always thinking of ways to change and improve the logo and from a design standpoint, a logo or a design of any kind may never feel fully complete but always a work in progress.

Logos shape our advertisement world and it is the foundation of any brand. A company’s identity rely on a good brand/tagline or maybe even a jingle. So get out there and start exploring what Illustrator has to offer in the graphic design world. You may be surprised at what you can create with just a few tools. The link below has some great tips I found from an Illustrator expert!
